First Friday Downtown

The best day of the month is First Friday! Our city center is filled with creativity, your friends, great art, great food, options, and inspiration. Come down and explore! Here’s your guide and map to the evening’s event. This event is sponsored by Vancouver’s Downtown Association. Participating businesses who have invested in VDA are noted on the HOT SHEET. Have fun!

It’s easy to register your location to participate in VDA’s First Friday Downtown! Just fill out the form below by the 20th of the month preceding the event. Late entries will not be accepted.

Local graphic, graffiti and fine artist Bryan Helfrich presents a series of unflattering portraits of the most divisive world leaders in recent history. On display from October 6-28, Questionable World Leaders features twelve portraits of ruling-class riff raff from around the world.

Please join us for First Friday Art Walk when we are featuring October’s artists Vickie Nelson and Bev Jozwiak. These two prolific watercolorists stay busy creating their lively, whimsical scenes that we all love.  There will be framed originals, along with shrink-wrapped originals ready to be framed to your liking. Vickie brought in 80+ new original greeting cards! We also have a few copies of Bev’s autographed book “Painting Life with Life.”
