First Friday Downtown

The best day of the month is First Friday! Our city center is filled with creativity, your friends, great art, great food, options, and inspiration. Come down and explore! Here’s your guide and map to the evening’s event. This event is sponsored by Vancouver’s Downtown Association. Participating businesses who have invested in VDA are noted on the HOT SHEET. Have fun!

Parking Information

It’s easy to register your location to participate in VDA’s First Friday Downtown! Just fill out the form below by the end of the day on the 20th of March. If you miss the deadline, please contact Beth Thrasher to see if you can still be added to the Hotsheet.

Please note that non-VDA investors get one free admission, then must become a VDA investor to be added in the future!

Featured Artists- Women Warriors. Women have shaped society in ways for which they are not often enough acknowledged. For the month of March, Angst Gallery will celebrate Women Warriors in all their various incarnations. 5-9 pm

Featured Artist: Don Bishop. In his latest solo show Horizons, Don Bishop explores a series of landscape paintings focusing on light and atmosphere. The show runs through March 30th. 5-9 pm.

Reflections and Refractions of Nature: An Exploration by Two Artists. Loren Nelson shares his striking black and white photographs and Ann Cavanaugh contributes her nature inspired fused glass pieces. 5-9 pm

High End Market Place

Kelly Keigwin is a professional artist who works in ceramics, photography, and mixed media collage. She also is a published writer and former instructor at Oregon College of Art and Craft. Kelly’s work draws inspiration from social observation and the human condition. She is known for utilizing imagery, text, paint, and recycled media in her work. 4-10 pm.
