CCHM Speaker Series “The Legacies of our African American Women ~ An Honor for this Mother’s Day”

The Vancouver NAACP and Clark County Historical Museum bring you a very special Mother’s Day themed edition of the CCHM Speaker Series “The Legacies of our African American Women: An Honor for this Mother’s Day.”

In this month’s show, women from Clark County’s African American community tell their stories – the triumphs, challenges, and experiences that come from growing up and raising families as Black women in Clark County.

Moderated by historian, Melissa Williams, panelist include:

– Jasmine Tolbert, NAACP President
– Yolanda Frazier, NAACP WIN Chair
– Tanisha Harris, NAACP WIN Committee Member
– Angela Jenkins, 1480 KBMS Host

The Clark County Historical Museum’s Speaker Series is a monthly exploration of Clark County history with industry experts, community members, and local artists. For our 2021 Season, the Speaker Series central theme is “The Stories that Shape Our Community: Past, Present, Future.” We’ll explore the stories, struggles, and triumphs of the various people that call Clark County home.

This month’s event is sponsored by LSW Architects and Riff Creative Studios. The CCHM Speaker series is sponsored by the Clark County Historic Preservation Commission. Attendance is free for members, $5 for non-members.
