Economic Development | Chair – Michael Lary

Help strengthen Downtown’s economic base while expanding and diversifying its businesses. This committee is forming a Retail Strategy that includes business retention and recruitment, improving the downtown infrastructure, and crafting an authentic message to relay the downtown experience. The Vancouver Launchpad is the Economic Vitality Committee’s top initiative for 2020.  Meetings are the third Wednesday of each month at 8:30 AM at VDA’s office, 811 Main Street, 98660.

Executive Committee | Chair –  Linda Reid

The Executive Committee is made up of the officers of the Board of Directors. They meet monthly to discuss VDA’s budget and other administrative activities that keep VDA running smoothly.  These meetings are not open to the public.

Design Committee | Chair – Lindsey Norberg

Capitalizing on its best assets, the Design Committee is constantly seeking ways to improve downtown infrastructure. 2020 projects include a Parklet at 12th and Main with art murals and Bike Art Park on Main. Annually this committee installs  flower baskets and street banners throughout downtown as well as sponsors an annual Spring Clean Up. The Design Committee meets the second Thursday of each month from 8:30-9:30 at the VDA office 811 Main St.

Promotions Committee | Chair – Linda Reid

Through an effective promotions strategy, this committee is successfully marketing Downtown’s unique characteristics. It sponsors the First Friday Downtown  Art Walk, creates the Downtown Walking Map and much more. The Promotions Committee meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 2:00 pm at the VDA Office, 811 Main Street

VDA Investor Relations Sub Committee | Chair – Celinda Rupert

Join the group that grows VDA members through communication strategies, advocacy and business support. Email if you are interested in volunteering for this Sub-Committee and doing business outreach.
