Community Dialogue: Affording Life

July 28 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join us for a facilitated dialogue exploring affordability, security, dignity, and the possibilities for creating a life that works for more of us.

These monthly engagements are about cultivating dialogue around societal issues, most struggle engaging in. Rebuilding relationships that are often fragmented due to disagreement, misunderstanding, and lacking trust.

This July, we’re exploring the realities behind the rising cost of living, the systems and choices that shape affordability, and the possibilities available to us individually and collectively. Rather than reducing the conversation to a single cause or solution, we will make room for lived experience, differing perspectives, and a deeper consideration of what a sustainable life might truly require.

Together, let’s explore:
– What does a sustainable life mean to each of us?
– Why have the necessities of life become increasingly difficult to afford?
– How do rising costs affect our relationships, health, choices, and sense of security?
– What are we being asked to sacrifice simply to meet our basic needs?
– Who bears the greatest burden when the cost of living rises?
– What roles do wages, housing, business, government, community, and personal choice play?
– What changes could make everyday life more secure and livable?
– What possibilities emerge when people have enough not only to survive, but to participate, create, and thrive?
