LOVIN’ ON THE COUVE—Our spring cleanup was a wild success! Together, over 125 community members planted 1,400 flowers and removed over 18 yards of litter and weeds throughout downtown and uptown. Check out our recent lighting improvements at 1014 Main Street! These improvements are responding to the need of improved lighting in pedestrian corridors throughout downtown—guided by feedback received from business owners and the public. This project is a part of our clean and safe initiative, Spruce the Couve. Graffiti removal, power washing, new trash cans, improved lighting, and community cleanups are all examples of tasks that are currently being completed under this program. We have replaced every single litter receptacle along Main Street, from 6th-15th! In addition to a few new locations in Uptown. This effort is in response to feedback received by business owners and the public.
