Downtown Businesses Get a Boost with Bricks & Clicks Grants

Since 2024, nearly 40 downtown businesses have received funding through Vancouver’s Downtown Association’s Bricks & Clicks Grant Program—an initiative designed to strengthen business retention, enhance storefront appeal, and support digital growth during the Main Street reconstruction.

Developed in partnership with the City of Vancouver, the Bricks & Clicks program provides downtown merchants and property owners with financial resources to invest in façade improvements and e-commerce initiatives. These investments not only help businesses remain competitive but also contribute to a more attractive, vibrant, and resilient downtown core.

How Local Businesses Are Using Their Grants

This most recent round of grant recipients showcases the diverse ways downtown businesses are reinvesting in their spaces and customer experiences:

Ronald Records
Installed new exterior signage and refurbished an exterior structure to properly support the sign, improving visibility and street presence.

Cariño Coffeehouse
Added a new interior mural and updated exterior signage to better reflect the brand’s personality and create a welcoming atmosphere for customers.

VibrantU Med Spa
Replaced exterior signage to enhance visibility and modernize the storefront.

Unique Beauty Loft
Installed new planters and updated signage to improve curb appeal and create a more inviting exterior.

Each of these projects demonstrates how strategic upgrades can elevate both individual businesses and the overall downtown environment.

The Bricks & Clicks Grant Program continues to play a vital role in supporting local entrepreneurs, especially during construction and transition periods.
