MAIN STREET IS OPEN
Thank you to the over 1,000 community members who joined the City of Vancouver and Vancouver’s Downtown Association to celebrate the reopening of Main Street!
26 NEW BUSINESSES opened during construction
$26 MILLION INVESTED in the future of Main Street
5 MONTHS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE
The evening featured opening remarks from U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell, Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle, VDA Executive Director Michael Walker, and new Main Street business owners, Noah Pluard owner of Softea and Sarah Frazee owner of Acme Rag.
“Comparable projects suggest the potential for 2–5x in additional private investment in downtown over the next decade, including new small businesses, building improvements, new development and reinvestment in existing properties.”
Guests enjoyed live music by Brenna Larsen and Midnight Theory, a performance by Metropolitan Performing Arts, and local art from Local Boy Tatau, TALented Works, and Marianna Cruzzz Art.
“Main Street now has the scale and infrastructure to become a defining destination in the Portland-Vancouver region.”
Special thanks to Polly Flowers, Bleu Door Bakery, Versa Events, and Stages Northwest for helping make the evening memorable.
