Shining a Light on E 7th Street: A Brighter, Safer Cooridor in Vancouver
Winter in the Pacific Northwest can be magical, but let’s be honest: those dark, chilly evenings can feel a little daunting, especially for nighttime pedestrians. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce a major improvement to one of Vancouver’s key pedestrian corridors—W 7th Street is now brighter, safer, and more welcoming, thanks to new lighting upgrades spearheaded by the Vancouver Downtown Association (VDA).
This project, made possible through a collaborative effort with Willamette Ventures, the City of Vancouver, and Frontdoor Back, highlights the power of community investment to create safer, more inviting spaces for everyone.
These upgrades benefit local landmarks like The Grocery Cocktail & Social, Dandelion Teahouse & Apothecary, and Eras, as well as nearby offices and residential areas. Whether you’re walking to grab dinner, heading home from work, or just enjoying the neighborhood, the improvements ensure you can do so with greater peace of mind.
Together, we’re fostering a vibrant, safe, and accessible community for all.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to invest in projects that enhance the vitality and safety of downtown Vancouver. In the meantime, we invite you to take a stroll down E 7th Street and experience the difference for yourself.
Together, we’re making Vancouver shine!
